Premier Jeremy Rockliff is dithering and Tasmania is paralysed.
Despite all the tough talk of an early election he’s come to the realisation that he doesn’t have enough candidates to fight an election.
A few have been announced with little fanfare, including conservative powerbroker Eric Abetz but they’re still more than 20 candidates short.
There’s hardly been a stampede of people rushing to sign up to be candidates for the Liberal Party or make themselves known publicly.
If the Premier wasn’t ready for an election, why did he issue an ultimatum and throw the government into more chaos? This is a complete debacle of his own making.

Every minute the Premier spends desperately scrambling for candidates is a minute he isn’t working on reducing the cost of living for Tasmanians.
