Victoria’s independent anti-corruption commission, IBAC, today announced that highly experienced public sector leader and legal practitioner Marlo Baragwanath has been appointed as its new CEO.
Ms Baragwanath is currently the Victorian Government Solicitor with responsibility for leading the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office. She commenced her public sector career at the
Victorian Ombudsman and subsequently held senior roles at WorkSafe and the Victorian Building Authority.
IBAC Commissioner, The Honourable Robert Redlich QC, welcomed Ms Baragwanath’s appointment, and said the role had attracted strong interest, with an outstanding range of high-calibre applicants.
