Hisense Australia, a leading consumer electronics and home appliances manufacturer, today announces a major, three-year sponsorship of the National Rugby League (NRL).
Kicking off during the 2020 season, Hisense becomes an Official Partner of the NRL Telstra Premiership, and naming rights sponsor of the NRL’s Thursday Night Football broadcast commencing on 12th March, encompassing all 192 Premiership matches and Finals Series fixtures in 2020.
Andre Iannuzzi, Head of Marketing at Hisense Australia, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with the NRL and bringing the Hisense brand closer to the NRL’s passionate fan base. This major sponsorship reflects our focus on showcasing our innovative and premium product range to Australians and underscores our commitment to our customers, ensuring they experience their favourite sporting games as crisp, clear and true-to-life as possible in their homes.”
Andrew Abdo, NRL Chief Commercial Officer, said: “This partnership reinforces the ever-growing value of NRL for sponsors, and reinforces how our scale and reach can deliver deeper, more meaningful engagement with customers and drive larger returns on investment.”
Multi-channel sponsorship
In addition to becoming an Official Partner of the NRL Telstra Premiership and bringing Hisense Thursday Night Football to viewers around Australia, Hisense will also be a State of Origin Major Partner for 2020 and 2021 including stadium branding, digital integrations and social media.
Hisense is also set to be the inaugural Official Presenting Partner of NRL TV. Shared across NRL.com and the NRL App, NRL TV offers fans more ways to consume NRL content, with match replays and highlights, archival content as well as team and player profile videos.
Top technology for game-time viewing
Mr Iannuzzi said Hisense’s ground-breaking technology provides optimal viewing for fans. “NRL is such a thrilling, fast game and an integral part of the Australian sporting landscape,” he said. “Such a great game deserves the best in television technology to create the ultimate at-home viewing experience. When fans aren’t able to make the game in-person, the Hisense television line up, in particular our new and ground-breaking Hisense ULED Dual Cell TV, provides an uncompromising front row seat to crystal clear action.”
Recently announced at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the Hisense ULED Dual Cell TV and wider 2020 TV range brings all of the excitement of the game into the home. Australians can be guaranteed an immersive game-time experience thanks to adaptive Sports Mode and the best picture quality featuring over 2 million dimming zones.
