A large cache of gel-blaster firearms has been seized from a Mawson Lakes home.
About 12.45pm Saturday 15 June, following an investigation Northern District police attended the home to conduct a search.
Inside police located 20 gel blaster firearms, 25 gel blaster magazines and nine rounds of live ammunition. A homemade bong and approximately 25g of dried cannabis were also located at the premises and seized.
The occupant, a 49-year-old man, was arrested and charged with possessing a firearm without a licence, possess unregistered firearm and possess prohibited weapon.
He was refused bail and appeared in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday where he was remanded to reappear on 20 August.
