The City of Perth, in partnership with Volunteering WA will see the ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾less Connect event return in 2018, providing the community an opportunity to help those experiencing homelessness.
³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾less Connect Perth is the largest event in the state for the homeless, providing direct help to approximately 2,000 people in need.
Chair Commissioner Eric Lumsden said ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾less Connect has been held annually since 2008, and the one-day event helps those experiencing homeless to connect with organisations that can provide support year-round.
“³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾lessness is a complex social issue, evident throughout Western Australia including the Perth city,” Mr Lumsden said.
“³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾less Connect draws together a range of volunteers and people with specific expertise, to assist people to end their homelessness journey.
“Eleven years on, the event is just as successful as ever.”
This year’s event will take place on Wednesday, 14 November 2018.
