How Health Science led Grace into new career in health

When Grace Hermocilla decided to move from a corporate role to the Health sector, she chose the at Torrens University as the first step in her journey. Grace says the Diploma gave her the essential knowledge and practical and research skills she needed to make the transition.

The core subjects in the Diploma, such as Anatomy and Physiology, as well as the broad range of electives are taught by staff who also work in the industry. As medical doctors, researchers and practitioners, they share with our students their academic knowledge as well as their practical and clinical expertise.

Through gaining a strong foundation in biological and social sciences, our graduates can build their careers in the and Healthcare industries and continue their studies. After completing the Diploma, Grace is now studying a . She explains, ‘I chose to study at Torrens University Australia because it offers a more hands-on approach to learning, where the goal is to become a good practitioner in the future.’

Flexible options for Diploma of Health Science students

Senior Learning Facilitator in Health Science, Dr Dhivya Rajasekaran, says, ‘Torren’s Diploma of Health Science is a targeted course of foundational subjects for , where students have the flexibility to choose their own path.
