Horsham Rural City Council will continue its Christmas Extravaganza with a Roaming Advent Calendar, seeing customers rewarded daily for shopping local this Christmas.
Starting Wednesday 1 December and ending on Christmas Eve, the Roaming Advent Calendar will see participating local businesses offer all people making a purchase at their store on their nominated day to go into a draw to win a $200 voucher.
Mayor Robyn Gulline said that encouraging people to shop local this holiday season was a key way to support local businesses.
“After a difficult two years, now is a great time to do your Christmas shopping locally. We have fantastic retail stores, hospitality businesses and service providers that will have something perfect for your nearest and dearest this Christmas,” she said.
The businesses participating in the Advent Calendar prize draw include:

Horsham’s Roaming Advent Calendar is part of Horsham’s Christmas Extravaganza, which launched with a Christmas Tree lighting ceremony in Roberts Place and will continue with Post Card projections in the city starting in mid-December.
Advent Calendar winners will be drawn each day and notified by phone.
