International leading law firm Herbert Smith Freehills has advised Generali on the closing of the acquisition of La Médicale, Crédit Agricole Assurances’ insurance subsidiary, for healthcare professionals. The transaction includes the sale to Generali of the death coverage portfolio of Predica, life insurance company fully owned by Crédit Agricole Assurances, marketed and managed by La Médicale.
This acquisition is part of Generali’s strategy to strengthen its distribution through general agents and to reinforce its position in the professional market through the acquisition of a specific clientele of liberal health professionals.
