The United Nations Human Rights Council has decided to adjust the working hours of its ongoing 55th session during Ramadan, effective from Monday 11 March until the conclusion of the session, scheduled for Friday 5 April.
According to the new schedule, meetings of the 55th session will run from 09:30 to 12:30 and 14:30 to 17:30 Central European Time (CET) in Room XX at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. The original schedule from 10:00-13:00 and from 15:00-18:00 will remain in place until Friday 8 March.
This change in working hours was decided by the Council on Thursday 7 March, 2024.
The request for the change was earlier made by the Permanent Mission of Pakistan in Geneva in its capacity as coordinator on human rights and humanitarian issues of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation member states.
