Mansfield Highway Patrol officers nabbed a driver travelling at more than 80km/h over the speed limit in Merrijig early this morning.
Police clocked a Toyota Camry travelling at 185km/h in a 100 zone on Mt Buller Road about 9.15am.
Officers intercepted the vehicle and immediately impounded the car for 30 days at a cost of $1745.
A 27-year-old Epping man is expected to be charged on summons with exceed speed and other related offences.
