Images released after stolen jewellery seized in Hamilton

Hamilton Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released images of allegedly stolen jewellery as part of ongoing burglary investigations.

The jewellery was located following the arrest of a 58-year-old man in Hamilton about 6.30pm on Sunday, 11 July.

Officers located cannabis and about 200 allegedly stolen accessories in his possession.

The Warrnambool man was charged with possess cannabis and bailed to appear at Warrnambool Magistrates’ Court on 6 December 2021.

The investigation into the origins of the stolen pieces remains active and ongoing.

As part of their investigation, detectives have released images of some distinctive pieces in the hope someone recognises them and comes forward with information.

Anyone who believes the jewellery belongs to them is urged to come forward along with evidence of ownership.
