Two teenagers were arrested after an imitation firearm was located during a routine intercept in Maribyrnong last night.
Footscray police intercepted an alleged stolen car in the car park of a shopping centre on Rosamond Road about 10.20pm.
Five teenage boys were in the vehicle at the time.
A rear passenger, a 16-year-old St Albans boy, was allegedly found in possession of an imitation firearm and arrested.
The driver, an 18-year-old Seddon man, was arrested in relation to the alleged stolen vehicle.
They have both been charged and bailed to appear at court at a later date.
