Mornington Peninsula Shire is inviting thoughts on concept plans for a refreshed playground at Robertson Reserve, Balnarring.
The need for an improved playground at Robertson Reserve was part of Council’s Play Space Strategy 2015 – 2020.
Possible upgrades to the playground include:
- a large skillion roof or shade
- stair access
- monkey bar
- slides
- net climber
- abacus panel
- shop front.
The existing swing will remain, a path to the playground and on grade access will be provided.
Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor Councillor Sam Hearn said “playspaces are an important component of social wellbeing and active lifestyles. The upgrades for the Robertson Reserve playground aim to provide a more fun and interesting experience for its users”.
Mornington Peninsula Shire Red Hill Ward Councillor David Gill encouraged the community to view the concept plans and provide their thoughts.
“Playgrounds play a vital role in social interaction and physical activity for Peninsula children. We’re working to provide more improved outdoor playspaces for our community to gather, connect and enjoy.”
