In Memory of Aia Masware Personal Safety App ‘Leelou’ releases ‘AIA Mode’

Following the tragic death of Aia Masware, Leelou founder Jerry Farsoun, has introduced AIA Mode, endorsed by Aia’s family.

“I was incredibly saddened to hear the news about Aia, and immediately knew that by further development of our safety app Leelou, with the ‘AIA Mode’, lives could be saved for those in similar situations,” Jerry said.

“I am so passionate about saving lives, and the AIA Mode could make the difference in less than 15 seconds.”

Leelou offers immediate personal protection for users. At the press of the SOS button, Leelou instantly records, sends and streams audio along with GPS location and battery information in under 15 seconds, allowing up to 5 scrutinised guardians to come to the user’s aid 24/7.

The SOS also overrides the silent function on phones allowing certainty of alerts.

The ‘AIA Mode’ is a vigilance feature of Leelou, and rather than in the case of Aia’s sister not knowing her location at the time of the incident, pressing and holding the button on your journey, and releasing it when feeling threatened or dropping the phone, sends an instant SOS to scrutinised guardians.

Leelou believes personal safety should be a right and not a privilege and to that end, Leelou’s core is unrivalled and free.

Leelou’s Founder conducted a live Facebook interview with Aia’s father Saeed and sister Noor who coordinated recovery efforts from overseas when Aia went missing. Click here to watch the video:

Leelou is ‘ad free’ and user information is ‘not’ collected and sold to anyone. It is a Melbourne designed and built locally app.
