In-person Storytime and Baby Rhyme Time back in our library

Reading and sing-a-longs are resuming on Tuesdays and Thursdays once again with the return of Ararat Regional Library’s popular literacy program.
Ararat Rural City Council CEO Dr Tim Harrison is pleased to welcome back families to the Library for its popular Storytime and Baby Rhyme Time sessions, with a change in Library operations.
“Reading and singing from a young age helps children develop crucial language skills that builds confidence and a lifelong a love of learning,” Dr Harrison said.
“We know how valuable our face-to-face literacy programs are for young families and children to bond with others.
“Our team has worked hard to safely manage the return of the Storytime and Baby Rhyme Time program while adhering to COVIDSafe guidelines. This means the Library will be opening an hour later (from 11am) on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
“Bookings are strongly encouraged for all families that would like to attend as spaces are limited to 20 people at a time.
“Thank you to all those who are doing the right thing and helping to keep our community safe so we can safely bring back activities,” he concluded.
