Campaspe Shire Council has announced a series of industry forums as part of the engagement process to develop a new five-year Economic Development and Tourism Strategy for the shire.
Campaspe Mayor Cr Rob Amos is inviting businesses, tourism operators, industry groups, business networks and interested members of the wider community to come along to one or more of the forums to have their say.
“We want people to share their insights, ideas and priorities about the investment, advocacy and programs needed to strengthen our industry sectors and drive economic prosperity into the future,” Cr Amos said.
“We are holding five industry-specific forums for people to join with their peers and one general forum for the wider community to contribute their views,” Cr Amos said.
“We are also providing a mix of face-to-face and online opportunities, and different times of the day to enable people to attend a forum that suits them.
“Campaspe Shire’s economy has been buoyant for many years, with steady growth across the shire’s population, labour force and gross regional product. However, the economic landscape has changed dramatically in the past few years, particularly with the impacts of the pandemic, fires and floods, and myriad other external challenges.
“That’s why there’s never been a more important time for our businesses, industry sectors and community to come together and have their say on Campaspe’s economic future.”
