Ten inspiring women were recognised at Inspiring Women in Isaac events as part of Queensland Women’s Week and International Women’s Day celebrations.
The 2019 Inspiring Women in Isaac awards paid tribute to women of all ages who inspire, encourage and make a positive difference to the lives of those around them.
Isaac Regional Council Mayor Anne Baker said these women energise the Isaac region and play an integral role in building our communities.
“We received 41 nominations for 39 women, whose daily contributions make our lives and communities brighter,” Mayor Baker said.
“We heard stories about women building their business from the ground up; women who have raised thousands for charities; women who have brought arts and culture to our region; and so many more.
“It is women like these who create a region that respects women, embraces gender equality, and promotes and protects our rights, interests and wellbeing.
“Congratulations to each of our nominees and winners; your hard work and passion is truly inspiring”.
