Did you know that Council has online mapping data available, at the click of a button?
An interactive map covering the whole municipality has recently been developed and is now available on Swan Hill Rural City Council’s website.
Providing access to a wealth of information on properties in the region, users can enter in an address and find the following:
· Property information (including links to create a planning property report)
· Google Street View of the area
· Land parcel information
· Planning zones and overlays
· Waste collection zones and services
· Ward details and Councillor contact information
The map also includes the option to turn on a variety of different layers showing the locations of schools, health services, public transport, sport and recreation reserves, public toilets, disabled access, landfills and community centres.
The base map can also be changed to high resolution and aerial photography.
Council’s Director Infrastructure Svetla Petkova said the new map replaces outdated software.
“Officers have now created a map that provides useful and up-to-date information in an easy to use format and that will be a valuable asset to not only locals, but visitors to the region as well,” she said.
The interactive map can be accessed by clicking Maps on the homepage of Council’s website at www.swanhill.vic.gov.au.
