ASX Listed BetMakers Technology Holdings Group (ASX:BET) has signed a significant agreement with global betting house, GVC Holdings PLC (LSE:GVC), the UK parent company of Australian brands Ladbrokes and Neds.
The agreement is to form a “Global Racing Partnership” and roll out BetMakers group’s proprietary technology across the Australian and UK markets. BetMakers will be providing GVC with Global Tote co-mingling engine; Live streaming racing channel; and Custom-built trading platforms.
It is a significant win to secure the contract, given the London Stock Exchange listed company owns a huge portfolio of established global wagering and sports brands including bwin, Ladbrokes, Coral, Crystalbet, Eurobet, Neds and Sportingbet. The Company also own Games Brands including CasinoClub, Foxy Bingo, Gala, Gioco Digitale, partypoker and PartyCasino.
GVC Director of Trading Performance and Operations, Mr Glynn Carroll, said: “We are delighted to announce we have been able to reach an agreement for BetMakers to become GVC’s Global Racing Partner. There is no doubt that BetMakers is the leading provider of racing technology globally and, given the demonstrated success from our existing relationship in Australia over the past few years, we are very excited about using the BetMakers’ products on our other brands in key markets.”
BetMakers CEO Todd Buckingham is keeping quiet on the commercial terms of the agreement but has stated that they are expected to have a “material” impact on the Company.
“We’ve had a very successful ongoing relationship with the Ladbrokes Australia team under CEO Jason Scott, which has ultimately led to the wider deal with the global GVC group.”
“We’re excited to have such a significant world-leading partner to roll out our products into global markets as we continue our mission to be the best technology partner for both global wagering operators and racing bodies.”
