The latest cohort of newly arrived international students studying in the Territory this year were officially welcomed to Darwin with an evening reception held at Mindil Beach Casino Resort earlier this week.
More than 300 students attended the event with Minister for Skills, Training and International Education Joel Bowden awarding 15 international students with Study NT scholarships.
The Study in Australia’s Northern Territory 2024 scholarship recipients include:

Kathryn Vera Cruz from the Philippines, studying at Alana Kaye College
Daniel Laurence Ramos from the Philippines, studying with Ausinet
Hamza Samad from Pakistan, studying with the International College of Advanced Education
Xiaoping Wang from China, studying at Charles Darwin University
Ella Syvret from the United Kingdom, studying at Charles Darwin University
Sandhya Kharal from Nepal, studying at Charles Darwin University
Keren Biju Mathew from India, studying at Charles Darwin University
Shova Pandey from Nepal, studying at Charles Darwin University
Keziah Biju Mathew from India, studying at Charles Darwin University
Nafis Sadik Khan from Bangladesh, studying at Charles Darwin University
Thi Cam Binh Loung from Vietnam, studying at Charles Darwin University

International students undertake higher education, English language and vocational education and training here in the Territory with a range of international education and training providers where they not only have the opportunity to study at a quality institution but also enjoy the Territory lifestyle, tourism experiences and our iconic nature.
There are currently more than 5,600 international students studying in the Northern Territory contributing around $169 million annually to the Territory economy. The Territory Labor Government aims to grow that to 10,000 international students by 2030.
