Works are underway on the Henwood Park Playground redevelopment in Kooringal, with the removal of old playground equipment this week.
The site is being cleared and prepared for the installation of the new design, chosen by the community earlier this year.
Wagga Wagga City Council Works and Playground Officer John Conlan said just a few pieces from the existing playground will remain.
“We’ll be keeping the shade sail and the pyramid climbing net, although we’ll put a new net on it,” Mr Conlan said.
“The new equipment will include a triple bay swing set, a standard playground structure as well as a natural play timber climbing area.”
The redevelopment is expected to be completed by early December, weather permitting.
