Twas was night the before Christmas when all through the suburbs not a creature was stirring, expect two men with torches at Para Vista.
Just after 2am on Christmas morning, police patrols were called to Maurine Terrace after a home owner reported seeing two men with torches wandering through a neighbours yard, who were away on holidays.
On patrols arrival they located two men in the street, both carrying torches. CCTV from a home owner showed the men checking the security of the garage and interfering with a trailer in the front yard.
The two men aged 57 and 52-years-old from Rostrevor and Paradise were arrested for being on unlawfully on premises. The Rostrevor man was also charged with carrying an offensive weapon after he was found to be in possession of a stanley knife.
Both men have bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court early in the new year.
These arrests are a great example of neighbourhood watch and telling a trusted neighbour that are going away on holidays.
