Police are investigating after a man died in a single-vehicle crash in the state’s Far North today.
About 6.20am (Tuesday 17 September 2019), emergency services were called to Mitchell Highway at Coolabah, about 110km south-east of Bourke, following reports a utility had crashed and rolled.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a man believed to be aged in his 40s, died at the scene. He has not been formally identified.
Officers from Central North Police District established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
