Homicide Squad detectives have interviewed a man in relation to the death of another man in St Kilda on 5 February.
Emergency services were first called to reports of a fire at a property on Chapel Street about 8.40pm.
A man was located with critical injuries inside the property, the 60-year-old St Kilda man died a short time later.
Detectives executed a search warrant at a property in St Kilda on 6 February, where a 30-year-old man was arrested.
He has been interviewed and released pending further enquiries.
The investigation remains ongoing.
