Isaac Libraries will be saving the dramas for the llamas as alpacas with maracas set to shake up a national page-turning escapade this month.
Children from Dysart, Clermont, Glenden, Middlemount, Nebo, Moranbah and St Lawrence will join many across Australia and New Zealand for a picture book giggle-fest.
Matt Cosgrove’s Alpacas with Maracas will bring together thousands of children across the country for ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Simultaneous Storytime this May 21-24.
Isaac Regional Council Mayor Anne Baker said the region is excited to be part of this national occasion.
“It’s such a colourful, vibrant, fun event that aims to promote the value of reading and literacy, using an Australian children’s book that explores age-appropriate themes,” Mayor Baker said.
“It also addresses key learning areas of the ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Curriculum for Foundation to Year 6.
“I whole-heartedly encourage parents and caregivers to take their children along to this fabulous event at Isaac Libraries.”
³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Simultaneous Storytime will take place in Isaac from May 21-24:
