Australia’s basketball champions will now feature at one of Tasmania’s biggest Christmas events.
Tasmania’s own NBL champions, the JackJumpers, will be making their debut at the 2024 Myer City of Hobart Christmas Pageant.
The JackJumpers, who captured the hearts of Tasmanians and Australians alike with their first NBL title earlier this year, will bring their winning spirit and community focus to the Pageant, with Tassie’s iconic ant Jack the Jumper and community representatives adding a new and exciting dimension to this beloved annual event.
The Myer City of Hobart Christmas Pageant is not only a celebration of the holiday season but also a vibrant showcase of Hobart’s diverse cultural community.
The event attracts over 15,000 spectators annually and features more than 2,000 participants, including dancers, sporting clubs, businesses, and various community organisations and, of course, Santa.
This year, we are looking for 40 top groups to participate, with awards to be presented for categories such as Best Christmas Themed Entry, Best Community Entry, and Best Musical or Dance Performance.
Expressions of interest are now open for participation in the Pageant, with applications closing on Monday, 9 September 2024.
