Charlotte Brontë’s – a gothic tale of a spirited orphan in search of love, family and a sense of belonging is hitting the Albury Entertainment Centre on Friday 12 August 2022.

Witness one of the most iconic pieces of English literature retold in a faithful yet fiercely original new stage adaptation from the nationally-renowned .

Following a childhood spent suffering at the hands of her cruel Aunt, Jane finds employment at Thornfield Hall – the impressive yet mysterious home of Edward Rochester. As Jane and Rochester become inexplicably drawn to each other, the dark secrets locked within the walls of Thornfield start to unravel, forcing Jane on a heart-wrenching journey toward truth and freedom.

This stunning new production, featuring original music written by multi-ARIA Award winner Sarah McLeod will set a fire blazing in your soul.

“We are so thrilled to be bringing Jane Eyre to Albury, as part of our eight-month national tour. shake & stir has always relished its time spent in the region and we look forward to be bringing one of the company’s largest touring works – in all its blazing glory – to the Albury Entertainment Centre,” shake & stir’s Artistic Director, Ross Balbuziente said.

The show is part of the the Albury Entertainment Centre’s Theatre Season, featuring seven stage productions over the year sourced especially for the Albury Wodonga community.

Albury Entertainment Centre Venue Manager, Brendan Maher, said the Jane Eyre production is one-of-a-kind.

“We are delighted to partner with shake & stir theatre co to share this spectacular production with our community. Expect memorable performances, moving music and vocals, as well as amazing special effects lighting up the stage,” Mr Maher said.
