- New non-stop seasonal service between Singapore and Broome coming in June
- New international gateway into regional Western Australia
- Supported by the Western Australian Government in partnership with Broome International Airport
A new non-stop seasonal service between Singapore and Broome will launch this winter, reconnecting the North West to South East Asia for the first time since the COVID pandemic.
Operating twice weekly from 25 June to 26 October 2024 on an Airbus A320 aircraft, Jetstar Asia’s seasonal service will bring almost 6,500 inbound seats to Broome in its first year and reduce travel time between the two destinations by over eight hours.
The new flight marks the first international route to fly directly into regional Western Australia since the State’s borders reopened and at the time of announcement, it will be one of Jetstar’s most affordable international flights into Australia, with fares starting from $125 Singapore Dollars one way.
The new service is supported by the WA Government’s $75 million Aviation Recovery Fund, in collaboration with Broome International Airport.
Singapore is one of Western Australia’s closest international neighbours and the State’s second-largest international visitor market, with over 86,000 visitors arriving in WA from Singapore in the year ending September 2023.
Broome is a priority destination for South East Asian visitors, boasting a strong Asian history and multicultural culinary scene.
Existing aviation networks through Jetstar Asia and other carriers across Asia will provide visitors increased connectivity into Australia’s North West via Singapore’s international transport hub, Singapore Changi Airport. The airline also works in partnership with several partners, allowing visitors from the United Kingdom and Europe to explore an alternative gateway into Western Australia.
