Council is excited to announce that work on the $1.5mil Jindabyne Skate Park upgrade project will begin by the end of 2023, with a final send-off for the current park set for Wednesday 25 October 2023.

Scheduled to open in the first half of 2024, the new facility hosts a wide array of features for skaters, scooters and riders of all ages and all abilities. The new and improved Jindabyne Skate Park will include an all-new bowl, half-pipe, mini-ramp and much more for the community to discover and enjoy.

The existing skate park will be closed and fenced off during construction. Thanks to the more favourable weather over spring and summer, construction will proceed more quickly with fewer interruptions and delays.

Council is hosting a final send-off skate session at Jindabyne Skate Park on Wednesday 25 October from 4pm to 6pm. There’ll be music and a free barbecue to see the park off in style, giving locals the opportunity to drop into the old bowl one last time.

We appreciate the community’s understanding while the park is closed over the coming summer holidays, and look forward to welcoming you to the brand new Jindabyne Skate Park in 2024.

This Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund project is jointly funded by the Australian and the NSW governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements. Council is grateful to our government partners for their ongoing support of community projects across the Snowy Monaro.
