Jobs on offer at Murraylands Jobs Fair

Job seekers in South Australia’s Murraylands region will be able to access a one-stop employment shop at the Morrison Government’s Jobs Fair to be held in Murray Bridge on Friday 12 November.

Minister for Employment, Workforce, Skills, Small and Family Business, the Hon Stuart Robert MP, said the Jobs Fair would allow employers and employment service providers to speak directly with job seekers about opportunities available and the skills needed for those jobs.

‘The Morrison Government is committed to connecting job seekers with businesses looking to hire, as we continue our recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic,’ Minister Robert said.

‘Tourism, agriculture, food production, manufacturing, transport, and health care and social assistance are some of the key industries driving employment growth in rural and regional South Australia.

‘All those industries need skilled workers and this Jobs Fair is one way of helping to provide them.’

Assistant Minister for Youth and Employment Services, the Hon Luke Howarth MP, said creating jobs and boosting the skills of Australians to help them get back into work is at the heart of our Economic Recovery Plan.

‘There are a diverse range of jobs on offer at the Murraylands Jobs Fair. This includes roles in agriculture, manufacturing and aged, disability and child care,’ Assistant Minister Howarth said.

‘We encourage jobs seekers to attend the Jobs Fair as they will hear first-hand from employers about what they look for when hiring. This fair will also give jobs seekers the opportunity to meet people and network.’

Mr Tony Pasin MP, Member for Barker, said the Morrison Government’s ongoing commitment to creating more jobs will set Australia up for future prosperity.

‘Our plan to connect local job seekers with work will help Australia bounce back stronger than ever after the COVID-19 pandemic,’ Mr Pasin said.

‘Our community is working hard to support its businesses and job seekers to take advantage of new employment opportunities as our economic recovery gathers pace.’

The Murraylands Jobs Fair is at Bridges Event Centre, 342 Brinkley Rd, Gifford Hall on Friday 12 November. It is free with sessions from 10 am to 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm to 4 pm.
