Cricket Australia (CA) advises that Western Australia’s Josh Inglis has been charged for breaching the CA Code of Conduct on 9 December 2018 in his side’s JLT Sheffield Shield match against Victoria at the MCG.
Inglis was reported for breaching CA Code of Conduct Article 2.1.4 – showing dissent at an umpire’s decision during a match – a Level 1 offence.
The offence occurred during Western Australia’s first innings, following Inglis’ dismissal.
As per the CA Code of Conduct procedure, Match Referee Peter Marshall considered the umpires’ report, and proposed a sanction of a reprimand should the player accept the umpires’ version of events.
Inglis admitted the offence and accepted the sanction, no hearing was required.
