Long-serving Supreme Court judge, the Honourable Justice David Boddice, will be appointed to the Queensland Court of Appeal.
Justice Boddice spent almost 13 years as a Justice of the Supreme Court. His Honour served as an additional judge of the Mental Health Court from 2011 to 2014, and as president of that court for a further three years.
Justice Boddice was also the Southern Region Judge of the Land Appeal Court since 2020.
Justice Boddice is renowned for his rigorous work ethic throughout a legal career that commenced in 1984 when His Honour was called to the Bar. He was appointed as Senior Counsel in 2001.
His Honour has served as a member of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Tribunal, chair of the Queensland Nursing Tribunal, chairperson of Barristers’ Chambers Limited, junior and senior vice president of the Medico-Legal Society of Queensland and member of the Continuing Professional Development Committee of the Bar Association of Queensland.
