Karratha Detective have charged a 29-year-old man following their investigation into an assault at a nightclub located on Warambie Road in Karratha on 22 February 2020.
Around 12.50am, the man was escorted from the premises by security staff after he refused to leave the premises when asked.
It is alleged once outside the premises, without any warning the 29-year-old man punched a staff member to the face. This resulted in the 34-year-old male victim being taken to the Karratha Health Campus for treatment of a severely broken nose which requires ongoing treatment.
It is also alleged the 29-year-old man breached a current Liquor Prohibition Order he was subject to.
The 29-year-old man from Pegs Creek has been charged with:-
• One count of With Intent to Harm, Did an Act Causing Bodily Harm; and
• Two counts of Fail to Comply with Orders.
He is next due to appear before the Karratha Magistrates Court on 18 March 2020.
