Bill Shorten’s Labor Party is facing a blockage from the Senate crossbench on another flagship policy, with its idea of children attending school two days a week from the age of three in jeopardy.
The Conservative Party has questioned the virtues of the policy and opposes the idea of the state being given the opportunity to indoctrinate our children at ever-earlier ages.
The Advertiser reports, Australian Conservatives South Australian Senate candidate Rikki Lambert said, “We oppose Labor’s sugar-coated plans to indoctrinate children from the youngest possible age in socialism and politically correct thinking.”
