Key projects near completion

A number of exciting capital works, including the Birallee Park cricket hub, are nearing completion in Wodonga.

The external framing as well as amenities, including the eight offices, have been completed. The plumbing and cables will be going in next.

The slab for the training facility went down in three stages with the roof structure and cladding to follow once the cement has cured.

Gabba Sporting Products will put in the synthetic wickets at the Birallee Park hub.

The company provided synthetic wickets for Kelly Park, Willow Park, Baranduda Reserve as well as other renowned facilities such as Junction Oval in Melbourne.

Meanwhile, John Potter Park and Max Beck Park playgrounds have opened after a revamp.

In John Potter Park, works have been completed with the old equipment removed and the new play equipment installed.

The playground now includes a free-standing slide, climbing frame, frog springer, nest swing and a spinner.

Minor landscaping works and furniture installation is due to be completed by the end of the year, weather permitting.

Works have been completed on the upgrade to Max Beck Park, off Dalton Ave, Wodonga. There is also some minor landscaping and furniture installation to be completed.

Kelly Park playground is nearing completion along with the Kelly Park cricket nets. Both are expected to be ready by the end of the year.

The Emerald Oval pavilion is also nearly finished with flooring going down this week. It is expected to be ready for use in the New Year.

The framing at the new Willow Park pavilion has been completed. Plumbing and electrical is under way with roofing well advanced. It is on track for completion by the end of December 2019.
