Police have charged four people with multiple offences following an alleged robbery with violence at Mount Larcom on Sunday February 12.
Detectives will allege around 3.30am, a 26-year-old Toolooa woman was assaulted at a Mount Larcom address and forced into a blue Mazda CX9 by a 38-year-old Clinton woman who was known to her.
Officers will allege the vehicle’s occupants also included a 28-year-old South Gladstone man, a 29-year-old Glen Eden man and a 17-year-old Glen Eden girl.
Police will allege the woman was driven at gunpoint via pistol to Gladstone, and enroute the 28-year-old South Gladstone man allegedly fired a shot from a separate home made weapon out of the car’s window at a white Hilux utility travelling behind them. Police believe the two vehicles occupants are not known to each other and appeal for the Hilux driver to come forward.
Detectives further allege the group stopped at a Clinton address for several hours where they held the 26-year-old woman against her will, assaulting her repeatedly and attempting to extort money from her, with a 28-year-old Boyne Island woman later attending the address and also assaulting the woman.
Officers allege the 38-year-old Clinton woman and the 17-year-old Glen Eden woman then took the woman to Gladstone Police Station around 3.30pm on Monday February 13 where they attempted to force her to collect documents, however officers thwarted the attempt with the pair being arrested without incident at the station.
The 38-year-old Clinton woman was charged with one count each of kidnapping, deprivation of liberty, assault occasioning bodily harm in company, possess category H weapon (home made weapon) and multiple drug offences.
She was denied police bail and appeared in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Monday February 13. She will reappear on Tuesday April 11.
The 17-year-old girl was charged with one count of deprivation of liberty. She was granted police bail and will appear in the children’s court at a later date.
The 28-year-old Boyne Island woman was arrested yesterday at a South Gladstone address and charged with one count each of deprivation of liberty, assault occasioning bodily harm in company and extortion.
She will appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court tomorrow, Thursday February 16. Her bail has been opposed.

Investigations remain ongoing into the whereabouts of the 29-year-old Glen Eden man who police believe to be in possession of a firearm (pistol), however officers do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community.
Police are also appealing to anyone with information, or who may have captured dash-camera footage between 3.30am-5.30am on Sunday morning in the vicinity of Gladstone Mount Larcom Road between Mount Larcom and Gladstone.
The victim was hospitalised for her injuries and has since been released.
