Monday 10 October is World Mental Health Day and marks the start of our focus on mental health for ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Safe Work Month.

Managing to mental health at work is just as important as managing risks to physical safety.

The things at work that can harm mental health are called psychosocial . Persons conducting a business or undertaking (), such as employers, have a legal duty to prevent exposure to psychosocial hazards and risks at work.

Psychosocial hazards can arise from the way work is designed and managed. Common hazards can include job demands that are either too high or too low, low job control and poor support.
