Do you know a young person aged 10-25 who is giving back to their community?
Make sure that you nominate them for a Youth Recognition Award before Tuesday 15 August 2023!
Presented by Mornington Peninsula Youth Services, the Youth Recognition Awards were dreamed up by our Youth Advisory Committee, a group of young leaders aged 12-25, who meet weekly at The Corner Youth Centre.
For the second year, our Youth Advisory Committee recognises the many young people who give back to their communities, whether through volunteering, environmental stewardship, leadership, or supporting mental health and wellbeing.
While academic and athletic accomplishments are often celebrated, these awards focus on young people who are dedicated to making their community a better place to live.
Categories are for contributions in the arts, environment, inclusion, mental health and wellbeing, community leadership and the unsung hero.

Quotes attributable to Mayor Councillor Steve Holland:
“It’s really important to celebrate the positive contributions young people make to their communities. These awards are an opportunity for us to recognise young leaders and volunteers and acknowledge the incredible work they do for our community.”
