Major works on Toowoomba Regional Council’s Kuhls Road rehabilitation project in Highfields are now complete, with the section between Peacehaven Botanic Park and Cawdor Road re-opened to traffic.
TRC Construction and Maintenance portfolio spokesperson Cr Carol Taylor said she was pleased to see traffic flowing both ways along the road once again.
“Council appreciates the impacts that construction projects can have on residents and the wider community,” Cr Taylor said.
“I’d like to thank the residents of Kuhls Road for their co-operation and patience as Council carried out this important project.
“The project has rehabilitated a 1.25km section of Kuhls Road from Bunya View Drive to Cawdor Road.
“The works included rehabilitating road pavement to provide a safer and smoother driving experience for our community.
“The project also delivered drainage improvements to better manage stormwater, constructed a concrete footpath from Peacehaven Botanic Park to improve pedestrian accessibility and safety and installed 13 additional car parks fronting Peacehaven Botanic Park.
“I’d also like to acknowledge and thank Council’s construction team for their work on this project.”
