Students in Kyneton now have access to the first-rate facilities and classrooms they deserve, thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.
Minister for Education James Merlino today visited Kyneton Secondary College to officially open its completed $10.9 million upgrade project.
The project includes an upgrade of Building 2 to create the new learning centre for Year 7 and 8, which includes flexible learning spaces and a new library.
The construction of a new Trades Hub has also been completed, which will provide learning areas for specialist trades – such as automotive, engineering and construction – and flexible workshops to support vocational education.
The Labor Government has invested $3.8 billion in improving, upgrading and building schools to ensure that every community can access a great local school where students are supported to achieve their best.
A total of 100 new schools will open over the next eight years under the Labor Government’s school building boom, ensuring every child has a great local school and a great start in life.
