The Tasmanian Opposition continues to show they have no plan and no understanding of how best to secure Tasmania’s energy future.
Yet again, they’ve resorted to slurs, scares and slogans.

- To ensure Tasmanians have the energy supply our growing state needs
- To ensure Tasmania continues to have among the lowest power prices in the nation
Tasmanians are rightfully proud of the state’s Hydro scheme.
This Government is committed to ensuring we honour that legacy by ensuring our aging Hydro assets are maintained, upgraded and expanded.
With a growing population and economy, Tasmania must continue to invest in significantly expanding our energy capacity, including the vital Marinus link.
Our recently announced Renewable Energy Dividend gets the balance right.
It provides significant cost of living relief as well as making the investment we need to grow our energy capacity.
The Opposition is walking both sides of the street.
They criticise the government for telling it like it is: that we need more power.
But they want us to walk away from Marinus.
And they want to introduce a price cap that would destroy the retail sector, drive up power prices and destroy our businesses and industries.
Labor is divided, deluded and continues to deceive Tasmanians.
