Labor’s refusal to rule out taxes confirms Tasmanians’ worst fear.
If ever given the chance, Labor would pay their way by imposing new or increased taxes on hardworking Tasmanians.
During the election, Labor hid their Fiscal Strategy Statement from Tasmania because it didn’t rule out new taxes.
Then they refused to tell Tasmanians how they would pay for their $4 billion election promise blackhole.
Now we know why.
They would tax Tasmanians to pay for it.
Tasmanians are already doing it tough – they can’t afford to be hit by Labor’s cruel tax-grab.
In contrast, our Liberal Government stands by our promise: no new or increased taxes.
Only the Tasmanian Liberal Government, with its 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future, is providing real cost of living relief while delivering the services Tasmanians deserve.
