The Victorian Health and Human Services Building Authority (VHHSBA) and the Latrobe Regional Hospital (LRH) are working together to finalise the design for the next stage of the Latrobe Regional Hospital expansion. The expansion will deliver:
- 44 new inpatient beds
- 3 new operating theatres
- 14 new surgical recovery beds
- 6 new intensive care unit beds
- additional emergency department bay
- an expanded maternity unit
Construction on the hospital expansion will start in 2021 and be completed in 2023.
The design objectives focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients and families, including warm and calming spaces that assist the healing process.
Your Feedback is Needed
The Victorian Health and Human Services Building Authority (VHHSBA) are seeking your input on what you would like to see in the new hospital’s family spaces, children’s play area and outdoor spaces, including artwork, plants and interactive activities.
