³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ grown superstars, The Wolfe Brothers, will headline a spectacular line-up of events for the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra’s 2024 concert season.

Minister for the Arts, Madeleine Ogilvie, congratulated the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra on the launch and said the diversity of events on offer meant there was something for all Tasmanians to enjoy.

“The Rockliff Liberal Government wants to see all Tasmanians have access to the cultural sensation that is the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, and in just this financial year alone has invested over $2.3 million in funding,” Minister Ogilvie said.

“As we get set to launch the 75th season of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Tasmanians have some fabulous events to look forward to in this year’s program, including an exciting new collaboration with Tasmania’s Wolfe Brothers.

“Audiences will be able to see this iconic country music duo join the full orchestra in both Hobart and Launceston.

“And there aren’t just events in our major cities, with new partnerships and collaborations, including family concerts and performances in regional venues like the Paragon Theatre in Queenstown.

“We are in for a truly magical season with masterworks of classical music on display like the Greig Piano Concerto, and the continuation of the much-loved multi-sensory immersive program Obscura.

“The exciting and diverse program is sure to see the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra continue to attract audiences from across Tasmania and Australia.”

Established in 1948, the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra is a 47-piece orchestra based in Hobart’s Federation Concert Hall.

The orchestra performs an extensive and varied concert season in Hobart, a smaller season in Launceston, as well as concerts elsewhere in Tasmania.
