Cessnock City Council has opened recruitment for a diverse range of apprentice, trainee and undergraduate positions as part of its 2025 LAUNCH program intake.
Council’s LAUNCH program is designed to ignite and accelerate career paths, both within council and beyond, through comprehensive support, expert mentoring and essential skill development.
Currently, Cessnock City Council employs 28 apprentices, trainees and undergraduates across various teams, providing a dynamic work environment that fosters professional growth, hands-on learning and recognised qualifications.
Recruitment is now open for several additional apprentice, trainee and undergraduate positions, covering a variety of fields including Sports Turf Management, Civil Construction, Environment and Waste, Strategic Planning, Administration, Customer Relations and IT.
Undergraduate and apprentice positions are open for recruitment until 15 August, while trainee and school-based trainee positions are open until 22 August.
Cessnock City Council’s General Manager, Ken Liddell said Council’s LAUNCH program forms part of our commitment to fostering local talent and providing meaningful career opportunities.
