It’s the competition that has captured the nation’s imagination and it’s set to reach a compelling crescendo across three huge nights when host Hamish Blake introduces LEGO MASTERS AUSTRALIA GRAND FINALE WEEK.
It starts this Sunday night at 7.00pm on Nine, with five talented teams of builders still in the running.
On Sunday and Monday night the creativity-fuelled challenges will feature an elimination, leaving three teams to battle it out on Tuesday evening for the title of LEGO Masters Australia.
On Sunday night, Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters will come to life in LEGO form as the five remaining teams must not only recreate the famous DeLorean car from Back to The Future, but also capture a perfect vignette of cinematic history to impress judge Ryan “Brickman” McNaught enough to keep their place in the competition.
After saying goodbye to one pair, prepare to take an amazing journey on Monday night when a time-travelling train weaves between the Prehistoric, Medieval, Wild West and Futuristic eras. The team producing the least impressive diorama scene for this time warp will also go home.
That will leave the three strongest LEGO teams in the country to bring their A-game for the biggest challenge yet, in the grand finale of LEGO MASTERS Australia on Tuesday night: a gruelling, 28-hour free build.
This build will be judged by Brickman and a special guest, LEGO Senior Design Manager Fenella Charity, direct from LEGO’s Denmark headquarters.
Alongside the two LEGO heavyweights, 250 LEGO fans – kids and kids at heart – will also cast their vote for the masterpiece they believe should be crowned best in show. The model with the most votes will earn its makers the coveted title of the inaugural Australian LEGO Masters and $100,000 in prizemoney.
Who will hold the LEGO MASTERS trophy aloft? Will it be Jimmy & Maddy, Jordan & Miller, David & G, Bilsy & Kale, or Henry & Cade?
Don’t miss the final three epic nights of unbridled creativity and extraordinary skill as LEGO MASTERS Australia comes to a brick-tacular end.
