Ballina businesses are set to benefit from a $487,185 upgrade to the Lennox Head Reflections Holiday Park which will bring new visitors to the region over the Christmas holidays.
The new glamping precinct at Reflections Lennox Head, featuring four glamping tents and two bell tents in a lush bushland setting, will deliver resort-like comforts for a fraction of the price. It is sure to be embraced by surfers and foodies alike, given the park’s close proximity to great surfing beaches and restaurants.
Minister for Lands and Water Kevin Anderson said the new development will enable visitors to enjoy the nearby Lake Ainsworth and Lennox Head beach, along with nearby restaurants and shops.
“In 2022 the NSW Government provided Reflections with a $28 million loan to improve facilities at its Crown land holiday parks and help boost regional tourism, so it’s great to see infrastructure upgrades in Lennox Head,” Mr Anderson said.
Reflections operates 22 parks in the North Coast, contributing nearly $47 million to the region’s economy and hosting more than 1 million visitors each year.
“Reflections Lennox Head truly is one of nature’s holiday parks. It welcomes more than 77,208 visitors each year, contributing almost $3 million to the region’s economy. This upgrade will attract about 14,892 more visitors, injecting a further $250,632 into the local economy each year,” said Nick Baker, CEO of Reflections Holiday Parks.
“Reflections’ purpose is to maximise the economic and social benefit for the local community, so we don’t build restaurants or resorts within our parks. Instead, we encourage our guests to support local cafes, restaurants, shops and tour operators, and get to know Lennox Head’s wonderful people and natural treasures.”
Reflections’ $487,185 investment has delivered:
- 4 glamping tents with room for four campers in a spacious queen and a bed nook with two single beds, air conditioning, a kitchenette, an ensuite and a private balcony bathtub.
- 2 bell tents featuring a luxe queen sized bed and charming décor, framed by an iconic round shape and high canopy.
