Kiama Council
In March 2024, Kiama Council resolved to note the findings of the Local Government NSW (LGNSW) Cost Shifting report for the 2021-2022 financial year and place a copy of the report on Council’s website so that our communities can access it.
LGNSW’s latest cost shifting report was released in November 2023, highlighting a total cost shift to councils of $1.36 billion in 2021-22, which is the equivalent of more than $460 per ratepayer annually.
