The Swan Hill Regional Library will be re-opening to the public this Thursday, 22 October.
Council’s Libraries Manager Camille Cullinan said library staff were excited to be re-opening the doors to the community again.
“We are delighted to be welcoming the community back into the library,” Ms Cullinan said.
“However, as per State Government requirements, there will be COVID-19 restrictions in place, including a maximum of 20 people allowed in the library at a time.
“There will also be a two-hour limit per day for each person using the library and customers staying for longer than 15 minutes will be required to provide their name and phone number.
“Some limitations will be in place on other library services including on computer access, wifi and photocopy and printing services,” she added.
For the next two weeks the library will open from 10am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, except public holidays – including this Friday’s AFL Grand Final public holiday.
“The library will then expand to its full opening hours from Wednesday, 11 November when it will re-open on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 8.30pm,” Ms Cullinan said.
“It will also open on Saturday mornings from 10am to 12pm starting Saturday, 14 November.
“Additionally, the library will continue to hold Baby Rhyme Time at Riverside Park on Fridays for at least the next two weeks.
“Bookings for this program are essential due to a limit of 10 people per session.”
Ms Cullinan said the library’s click and collect services will still be available for people wanting to pre-order books prior to coming into the library.
