Line-up of greats back B105’s BROWN SNAKE!

B105’s Stav, Abby and Matt have done what the rest of Brisbane couldn’t – they have lobbied Allen’s Lollies to have a brown snake included in their famous bag of snakes – in tribute to the mighty Brisbane River, lovingly called The Brown Snake by locals.
And in breaking news, this morning they announced the official flavour will be …. COLA, as voted buy tasters, and listeners.
After months of lobbying Allen’s to create the brown snake lolly, Stav, Abby and Matt received their first three sample bags from Allen’s 10 days ago, with three flavour choices – coffee, chocolate or cola.
Kept under lock and key, the snakes were only brought out when an invited Taster appeared, and the line-up was banging! Who better to have a first nibble than Prime Minister ALBO. In Masterchef form, Albo declared cola the best, then and in true politician form, asked is they could add another, Aniseed. Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner was next, then The King Wally Lewis, and Queensland QLD Maroons Daly Cherry-Evans and Reece Walsh, Pat Carrigan, Ben Hunt, Reuben Cotter and Harry Grant. Super chef Colin Fassnidge rounded out the tastings, along with Heather Smyth (Flavour and Sensory Scientist from the University of Queensland).
With the flavour COLA just confirmed live on air, Stav, Abby and Matt will this afternoon fly direct to the Allen’s factory in Victoria to collect the limited edition quantity of snakes, with the first bag to be given away on air this week.
A question a few tasters proposed – should the Cola Brown Snake be the official bite of the 2032 Olympics??
